Ashley Cornell, MSW, LSW, Psychotherapist | Thrive Mental Wellness
Do you feel like your past experiences or life’s current transitions are keeping you from feeling like your true self? I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where we can work together to deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationships. My goal is to help you expand your emotional resilience and develop the coping skills needed to navigate the world with confidence.
I see you as the true expert of your own life. My role is to serve as a guide, helping you process the troublesome thoughts and behaviors that impact your daily well-being. By using an integrated approach – combining CBT, EMDR, and somatic techniques – we can move toward healing and create lasting, authentic change. I embrace the mind-body connection to help you heal and achieve balance in your life.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Walden University and have specialized training in domestic violence and partner abuse. With my experience as a military spouse and specialized training, I have a deep passion for working with service members and their spouses, as well as first responders, supporting them in a clinical setting.
I enjoy working with individuals from their late teens through senior years, navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and female-specific issues. As Brene Brown says, "We cannot selectively numb emotions. When we numb the painful emotions, we also numb the positive emotions." Let's work together to bring those positive emotions back into focus.
